A PUB in Clent will be hosting a second charity skittles night after an evening in January sold out in a matter of weeks.
Organiser Sue Williams, whose skittles night at The Fountain at Clent raised more than £575 for Mary Stevens Hospice, was still fielding calls from people trying to buy tickets up until the day of the event.
Due to the overwhelming demand, Sue has decided to arrange a second event on Friday, March 24, to meet the interest of the community.
Laura Millard, community engagement officer at Mary Stevens Hospice, said: “We knew when Sue told us what she was doing that it was going to be a very popular event, but we must admit we were blown away by the overwhelming response she received.
“It was a fantastic evening first time around, and we know that it’s only going to be bigger and better when it returns in March.
“So we’d just like to say thank you to absolutely everyone that got in touch, to The Fountain for being such fantastic hosts and to Sue, for being a constant source of energy and inspiration.
“You can’t put a value on the time and effort she puts into supporting this hospice, and her hard work changes lives here.”
To book tickets to the skittles night, which cost £15 and include a meal provided by The Fountain, call Sue on 01562 883834 or 07536 111637.
