A MAN has admitted attempting to kill a Stourbridge dad at his home which was the scene of a brutal stabbing last month.
Aaron Barley pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of 47-year-old businessman Peter Wilkinson, who was left critically injured after the incident on March 30, when he appeared at Birmingham Crown Court this morning (Wednesday).
Barley, aged 23, is also charged with murdering Mr Wilkinson’s wife and son – Tracey and Pierce Wilkinson – who were pronounced dead shortly after the tragedy at the family home in Greyhound Lane, Norton.
But no pleas were entered regarding the double murder of 50-year-old Mrs Wilkinson and 13-year-old Pierce, who was a pupil at Redhill School.
Barley, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to await a further appearance before the court on July 19 – ahead of a two-week trial which is due to start on October 3.
