A STOURBRIDGE man is among five people set to appear before magistrates in connection with their involvement in an anti arms protest in Lichfield.
Christopher Groves, aged 64, of Belmont Road, Wollescote, has been charged with one count of using violence to compel activity or abstention from lawful activity following a protest at the Elbit/ UAV Engines factory on Friday July 7.
He and four others, aged 23, 24, 39 and 50, from addresses across the country, are set to appear before magistrates in Cannock on August 18 after arrests were made at the Lynn Lane site on Friday morning.
The protest was part of a week of action called to object to arms companies profiting from Israel’s occupation of Palestine.
