A DONATION of more than £4,000 has enabled a disabled athlete to come out of retirement and race once more.
Pedmore Sporting Club has made the generous donation of £4,335 for a new racing wheelchair for established charity athlete Paul Hunt - disability sports co-ordinator at The Albion Foundation which works with West Bromwich Albion Football Club to provide sporting and educational opportunities to disadvantaged members of the community.
‘Hunty’, as he is known, has been disabled since birth but hasn't let that stop him raising many thousands of pounds for charities.
He had retired from racing but the donation from Pedmore Sporting Club, which comprises more than 100 businessmen who raise cash for good causes while enjoying celebrity luncheons and sporting events, will give him the chance to compete once again.

Established almost 50 years ago at the old Pedmore House Hotel, the sporting club which now meets at Stourbridge Golf Club is going stronger than ever and has raised a total of £1.5million for local worthy and charitable causes over the years.
