MASTERS of terror AG Smith and Alan Birch are taking their evening of spooky storytelling on the road this year ahead of its London theatre premiere.
Horror author AG Smith and actor Alan Birch teamed up last year to bring An Evening of Delectable Terror to Stourbridge's Bonded Warehouse - attracting much acclaim and even enticing rock legend Robert Plant out on a Halloween night to see the show.
This year - the show is to make its debut in London following a short tour of the Midlands for those who missed out last time.
Graphic designer by day and actor by night Alan Birch, star of David Tristram’s Inspector Drake movies, is once again set to bring the character of the Librarian chillingly to life as he reads two of AG Smith’s creepy ghost stories by candle-light at venues including Stourbridge pub Katie Fitzgerald’s, the Severn Valley Railway, The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham and even Quatt Village Hall.
Alan, from Wollaston, said: "I was overwhelmed by the audience reaction to our debut show last October.
"We had not anticipated the Bonded Warehouse would sell out so quickly, and people absolutely loved being scared out of their seats.
"We have had so many invitations from venues to stage the show since last October that we have had to whittle it down to a select tour before we take the show to London."
Acclaimed Kinver author AG Smith said he was overwhelmed by the positive reaction to An Evening of Delectable Terror's debut and he added: "I can’t wait to see how new audiences react to it. If this is a success, I have written a new show for 2018.”
Shows will run from October 26 until December 17.
