STOURBRIDGE pals Val Jones and Christine Hall have raised £7,000 for Mary Stevens Hospice after staging another fun-packed fundraiser.
The event, held at Old Swinford Hospital on Saturday October 21, was the fourth fundraiser of its kind organised by Val, a teacher at Hagley Catholic High School, and Christine, a nurse.
The pair have raised between £2,000 and £3,500 at previous events but the latest brought in a record-breaking £7,000.
Val, who decided to organise the charity events after her dad Richard Parkin passed away at the hospice in 2013, said: "We had over £2,000 worth of raffle prizes donated and the auction raised £2,500.
"We'd like to thank all those local businesses who donated and sponsored us."
The event also included a pig roast and live music by The Secret Cabaret band from Worcestershire.
An additional £607 was also raised from an Irish bingo session which will be donated to the Deb Drew Fund to help with the ongoing rehabilitation of a brave Stourbridge mum who has been left with devastating brain injuries after trying to save a little boy from drowning in rough seas in Devon in 2014.
