How do you better one of the UK's most popular and celebrated fireworks displays? By making it even bigger and more explosive, of course!
That's the mission at the Alton Towers resort, with the Staffordshire-based theme park preparing to wow visitors with its most extravagant and sensational fireworks display to date.
With the famous Towers as the backdrop, the world-class fireworks spectacular will this year fire from one end to the other, lighting up the night’s sky from more locations across the park than ever before.
Lasting over 20 minutes, the dazzling experience will combine amazing music and incredible special effects to capture the enchantment of Alton Towers Resort and the fun-packed memories the theme park creates for its guests, from the anticipation and excitement of being upside down on a rollercoaster to the enjoyment of a fun day out with all the family.
And as if that wasn't enough, for the entire bonfire weekend when the fireworks run (Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th November), guests will be able to enjoy the park's rides and attractions until 9pm.
Trust us, riding the likes of Nemesis, Rita, Galactica and Thirteen in the dark in particular, weaving in and out of the surrounding woodland as they do, is a whole different ball game!

Unsurprisingly, the show-stopping celebrations make for some of the resorts most popular and busiest dates, so pre-booking is being heavily recommended to guarantee entry.
And for those looking to add a bit of extra fizz and sparkle to their celebrations, not to mention some VIP treatment and some always-handy queue-skipping, the resort are this year offering a special 'Big Bang' experience ticket, which includes, amongst other goodies; entry to the special 'Golden Circle' viewing area for the main fireworks display, 3 ride priority passes, unlimited digital photos of your ride experiences, a 2 course buffet, free parking, free refreshments and even a glass of bubbly or a mocktail!
As the perfect way to both see out the 2017 Theme Park season and also celebrate bonfire weekend in explosive, spectacular style, Alton Towers' fireworks spectacular has become, for many, a must visit, and this year looks set to be the biggest bang yet!
Again, it is a hugely popular event, so see below for the (highly recommended) details on how to book your visit in advance!
