A BUILDER committed suicide at his house in Wollaston just days before Christmas, a coroner’s court has heard.
Ayton Barry Cox, aged 41, was found by his partner hanged at his Richardson Drive property in the evening of December 20.
Police were called to the property by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service, who pronounced Mr Cox dead at the scene at 9.54pm.
During an inquest at Black Country Coroners Court, the court was told Mr Cox was known to the local mental health services due to his bipolar.
David Urpeth, assistant coroner, concluded Mr Cox’s death was suicide after his cause of death was confirmed as cerebral anoxia caused by hanging.
