MARY Stevens Hospice staff are putting on a free quiz night tomorrow (Friday February 16) for anyone interested in volunteering as part of the charity's fundraising team.
The fundraising team is hoping to bolster its ranks through a recruitment drive to find people who can donate their time and talent to help the Stourbridge hospice which needs to raise £2.8million to meet its running costs each year.
Ruth Longville, fundraising volunteer lead for the hospice, said: “We are so privileged to receive the support of local people in order to stage the huge events we run in the local community for our supporters.
"However, our events are getting bigger and bigger and we'll be the first to admit we could always use extra pairs of hands if any are willing and able.
"Hopefully by putting on a quiz night, we are giving potential volunteers a fun and interesting way to become better acquainted with the charity and learn a little bit more about whether or not it’s something they could support.”
The quiz night will take place at Lye Town Football Club, starting at 7.15pm.
