PLANS for housing on the site of a former Wollaston car garage have been given the green light.
Three houses and two bungalows are set to be built on the Reliance Garage site on the corner of High Street and Wentworth Road.
Each house will have two parking spaces, while the bungalows will share three spaces.
Three neighbours objected to the development, raising concerns about the height of the buildings, loss of privacy and a lack of parking.

However - three people also wrote to Dudley Council expressing support for the plans, including Wollaston councillor Nicolas Barlow.
His letter said: "The development looks good and is in keeping with the mix of current housing styles in the area.
"A welcomed development which will tidy up this derelict area."
Members of the council's Development Control Committee, who met on Tuesday evening, were unanimous in their decision to pass the plans.
