KINVER'S Post Office is now up and running again.
The village Post Office closed at the end of June 2017 after the postmaster resigned but the service has now returned to Kinver in a new location.
A new branch has now opened inside the Midcounties Co-op store in the High Street - opposite the old Kinver Post Office - and Post Office bosses say Post Office services are available seven days a week.
The facility, which opened on Monday April 16, is open from 7am to 10pm each day.
Suzanne Richardson, Post Office regional manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
"We are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office.”
Clare Downs, head of commercial partnerships at The Midcounties Co-operative, said: “Adding Post Office services will be of great benefit to the local community.”
The new Post Office offers banking services for individuals and small businesses and a variety of Post Office products and services from an open-plan till at the shop counter instead of from a separate screened counter.
