A MASKED robbery and a stabbing are the latest incidents to hit crime-plagued Lye High Street this week.
Police were called to a robbery at Rehman Travel, High Street, Lye, at 12.30pm on Monday (June 11).
Two masked men entered the store and demanded cash from a staff member.
He was held by one of the offenders who was holding a brick and suffered a minor hand injury in a scuffle.
The other took a quantity of money from a cash box and both masked men fled the shop.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101; quoting 20DY/130156P/18.
The following day (Tuesday, June 12), a separate incident saw police called to reports of a stabbing following a dispute in the High Street at around 2.30pm.
A man in his 20s suffered an arm injury which is not believed to be serious.
A 35-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and is currently in police custody for questioning.
Last week's News front page reported on the concerns of residents and businesses over a crimewave sweeping the area.
Those worries were prompted by a knife-point robbery and an incident of racially aggravated criminal damage within the space of a few days at the end of May.
There have also been claims of human trafficking, slavery, scavenging, threatening behaviour and theft in the area, as well as a hepatitis outbreak earlier this year.
