THOUSANDS of poppies have been knitted, sewn and crocheted together to create a stunning Remembrance Day cascade at a school in Kingswinford.
Project organiser Hannah Perry estimates more than 2,000 poppies - possibly 3,000 - feature in the spectacular draping display at Crestwood School.
It measures more than 30 square metres and has been draped from the balcony at the front of the school on Bromley Lane.
Students, staff and members of the community all contributed to the impressive showpiece which Dudley South MP Mike Wood stopped off to view this week.
Mrs Perry said: "One family made 433 poppies over the summer.
"We also had a local knitting group who made some, and Clover Leaf Community Group in Oldswinford made two giant Pom Pom poppies for us too.
"It has been really lovely that so many people have got involved."
