THE main Stourbridge to Kidderminster road at Iverley has reopened after an earlier road crash.

Emergency crews were at this scene this morning after two cars crashed on the A451 Kidderminster Road.

The incident happened on the stretch of road between The Crown pub and Norton Road, Stourbridge, and saw the busy road closed in both directions between County Lane and Crown Lane but it has since re-opened.

West Midlands Fire Service, police and paramedics attended the scene and a patient is believed to have been taken to hospital for a precautionary check but no one was trapped in their vehicle.

The impact of the crash, which happened just before 10am, is reported to have brought down a telegraph pole.
