A HOST of parked cars were left with broken wing mirrors and damaged windscreens and bodywork after thugs went on a wrecking spree in Lye on Sunday night (March 3).
Up to 10 cars were reportedly targeted in Albert Street between 7.45pm and 8pm.
Kamran Razzaq, Conservative candidate for Lye and Stourbridge North, said the incident was reported to police and he has contacted West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson about crime issues in the ward.
Mr Razzaq has also urged residents to check any CCTV they might have that could help to identify the perpetrators.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the incident was being investigated and she added: "Some cars were scratched and dented, while others had wing mirrors kicked off and windows smashed.
"Police are examining CCTV and enquiries remain on-going."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime or Crimestoppers (anonymously) on 0800 555 111 - and quote log number 2460 of March 3.
