TWO longstanding friends are calling on former pupils of two Dudley secondary schools to join in their reunion celebrations.
Former pupils of Dudley Girls High School and Dudley Boys Grammar School are invited to share their memories and catch up with old friends at the reunion, which takes place on Saturday September 28 at Dunsley Hall Hotel in Kinver.
Organisers Levene Brown (nee Parsons) attended Dudley Girls High School from 1968 to 1974 and David James was a pupil at the Boys Grammar School from 1966 to 1973.
Levene said: "We’ve already had a tremendous response and over 60 tickets have been sold, but we’d love to meet up with more of our old friends. It’ll be a great chance to reminisce about some wonderful times."
David added: "The reunion is open to former pupils of either school who started before the closures in the mid-70’s. It’s not year specific, anyone from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s can come along. It’s a reunion for pupils only, the size of the venue means we don’t have the scope to invite partners I’m afraid."
The event takes place from 7.30pm until midnight and tickets cost £25, including a buffet.
Both schools were closed and merged in 1975 to become the The Dudley School.
