THE Black Country's biggest music festival takes place this weekend after last month's bad weather led to the pop extravaganza being rescheduled.

SummerFest takes place in the grounds of Himley Hall on Sunday July 28, with headline performances from Scouting For Girls, Bewdley born pop sensation Becky Hill and former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.

All proceeds made from the festival will go to Mary Steven's Hospice.

The day will also include an under-5's zone complete with sandy beach, free activities for families, a food village shops and market stalls, a large fairground, and performers all around the festival site throughout the event.

Four bars will also be on hand from Sadler's Brewhouse.

Laura Millard, Event Organiser, Mary Stevens Hospice Group said: “To be able to bring so many top artists to the area under the banner of the Hospice really is such a privileged position and we're so grateful to all of our partners who are making this incredible experience possible for our local community.

"It's going to be the biggest music event that our Black Country has ever seen and we can't wait to see thousands of families there enjoying the day with us!"

Under-5's can attend the event for free and festival-goers are encouraged to bring camping chairs, blankets and provisions to stay for the whole day.
