DUDLEY town centre has been brought alive with colour thanks to the creative efforts of a group of art lovers.

Do Fest Dudley took place earlier this month and saw a host of projects take place to inspire creativity and encourage people to share their skills to brighten up the town.

The art work has generated a buzz on social media, with the work of sign writer Jim Kerr, of Seven 9 Signs, attracting people with bold colours and a celebration of their Black Country heritage.

His bright red sign reading 'BOSTIN' emblazoned on the High Street was one of the star attractions of the festival and has quickly gained appreciation on social media.

The festival also saw local people join together to learn new skills, from taking part in zine making sessions to learning creative ways to tackle waste.

A miniature park, dubbed a 'parklet', was also created out of two car parking spaces outside of the Gather Community Coffee Shop on the High Street as a place for shoppers to sit, chat and share ideas.
