The arrival of charismatic football icon Ron Atkinson is one the Yeltz players should treasure forever according to new manager Morell Maison.
Maison (picured right) pulled of the major coup of luring the former Manchester United boss to the Grove as his football consultant after previously working with Atkinson at Kettering Town.
Big Ron was a vocal figure in the dug out on Saturday and was also present at training on Tuesday and Maison believes his squad should tap into the brain of one of the UK's top manager's while they have the opportunity.
Maison said: "Ron's somebody who's been there, done it and got the t-shirt and it's brilliant to have such a high profile figure here getting stuck into the big challenge we have ahead of us.
"I've told the players that the opportunity to work with a legendary figure like Ron doesn't come around very often so while they have the chance to work with him they should suck all that information in and learn."
Although the new Yeltz boss hopes to have Atkinson at his side for a long time to come he fears it want be long before a league side comes in for his services.
Maison said: "I just find it staggering that Ron's not in the professional game when you look at the present management merry go round.
"My personal opinion is that it wouldn't surprise me to see him back involved with a league club by Christmas because he's got so much still to offer.
"I'm just grateful he's here and long may it continue."
Atkinson also expressed his delight of being back involved in the game. He said: "I am coming here as consultant for Morell, I will be here when I can and will watch a lot of games.
"If he (Morell) wants me in the dressing room then that's where I will be. I will probably be more use to him in the dressing room than in the board room.
"If there is any way I can help improve his team I will try and do that."
"Whatever happens it will be a rollercoaster ride, that's for sure."
