DRAMATIC pictures show the aftermath of a Stourbridge bus crash which left traffic tailing back onto the ring road earlier today (Tuesday).
Photographer Ken Frances was on the Number 9 bus when he captured footage of the incident which happened this afternoon in Birmingham Street at the junction with Stamford Road.
The crash, involving two National Express West Midlands buses and a van, happened just after 1pm.
Ken, a presenter on Black Country Radio, told how the Number 9 bus "lurched a bit" and he added: "Passengers did not scream out but yelped.
"We pulled over, all a tad shocked, but praise must go to the No 9 driver who went round to check no one was hurt even though he was shaking with slight shock."
The front right side of the Number 8 Wollaston Farm single decker was completely smashed in the crash, which happened close to the Stourbridge viaduct.
No-one is thought to have been hurt in the drama. West Midlands Ambulance Service said no ambulances were deployed.
A spokesman for National Express said: "There was minor damage to all three vehicles.
"We'd like to apologise to anyone whose journey was delayed by this incident."
She said National Express West Midlands was carrying out a full investigation into what happened.
