PLANS to build around 40 new homes on land at White Hill in Kinver will be presented to the village's parish council this evening Wednesday (January 29).
Trebor Developments will be presenting their draft proposal to Kinver Parish Council before submitting an application for outline planning permission for the site which can be seen from Kinver's historic Rock Houses.
Four acres of land in White Hill has been allocated for new housing development, for a minimum of 30 homes, in the Site Allocations Document of the South Staffs Local Plan - Mark Wright, partner at Trebor Developments, said.
He added: "The site offers an opportunity for a high quality and well-planned development and our proposals are for a range of one, two, three and four bedroom properties, in accordance with the district council’s requirements for housing density and a mix of house sizes."
He said the masterplan for the site comprises 40 properties, including 16 affordable homes and two bungalows, and would contribute to the "need for new housing in the village" and he added: "The proposed housing is set within landscape buffers, respecting key views towards Kinver Edge and retains mature trees, and has been informed by extensive surveys on aspects including ecology, landscape and highways.
"Following positive discussions with district council planning officers, we look forward to feedback from the parish council on our draft proposals for consideration ahead of finalising the planning application."
The draft plan for the site will be presented at tonight's planning meeting at Kinver Parish Council's offices in the High Street, Kinver, starting at 7pm.
