OFFENDERS attempting to steal diesel from lorries at business premises in Lye fled empty handed after being disturbed by police.
Officers from Brierley Hill attended the premises last night (Thursday April 9) after receiving a report of males stealing fuel from lorries in a yard.
Dudley PCSO Jamie Follows said: "On arrival we disturbed the offenders who made off on foot.
"One of our police dogs attended the area but we were unable to locate the offenders."
The men had siphoned diesel from the lorries, which they left behind and which was subsequently recovered by the owner.
