A BLACK Country singer is set to perform for NHS staff at Russells Hall Hospital before the 'Clap for Carers' event tonight.
Alexandra Darby will sing for staff outside the hospital's emergency department from 7.40pm, ahead of the weekly applause for NHS, carers and key workers at 8pm.
The performance will be streamed live on Alexandra's Facebook page so people can watch from home ahead of getting out on their doorstep to clap.
Her Facebook page will also include a link for people to make a donation to the Dudley Group NHS Charity.
Alexandra, who was crowned Miss Black Country in 2018, said: "I've been doing live feeds from home anyway to keep my page going.
"A few friends have been singing from their driveways so I thought about what I could do.
"A nurse from the hospital got in touch and said why don't I sing there for staff, it was a great idea.
"It's something a bit different and will hopefully raise a lot of money for the NHS."
Alexandra's performance will be streamed on her Facebook page 'Al By Myself - Celine Dion Tribute Act By Alexandra Darby' from 7.40pm tonight (April 16).
