POLICE found £2,000 worth of drugs and cash when they stopped and searched a car in Lye.
Two people have been arrested and the vehicle was seized after response officers from Brierley Hill searched the car in Lye High Street after a strong smell of cannabis was detected.
Dudley PC Jardell Miller said in a neighbourhood alert released today (Monday April 20) that the driver of the vehicle had attempted to make a run for it and was wrestled to the floor during the incident which also saw the force drugs dog deployed.
He added: "Drugs have no place on our streets and those who think otherwise will find themselves dealt with robustly."
