A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of a string of offences following a police chase through Brierley Hill.
Police pursued a car after spotting a vehicle being driven dangerously in the Stourbridge area, just after 2.30am this morning (Friday, April 24).
The car failed to stop for police but the chase was brought to an abrupt end when the car hit a bollard on Bewlay Close.
The driver fled on foot but officers caught him after a short chase, a force spokesperson said.
A 28-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed he has been released pending further enquiries.
