NEARLY 500 people have now died of coronavirus in hospital in Dudley and Sandwell.
Latest figures by NHS England, published today (Monday April 27), show 208 patients have died at Russells Hall Hospital - run by the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trusts; while 280 have passed away at hospitals run by Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.
Meanwhile - 1,571 people across Dudley and Sandwell have tested positive for the virus.
A total of 685 tested positive in Dudley, while 886 people have been confirmed to have the virus in neighbouring Sandwell.
Across the West Midlands region 11,788 people have tested positive for the virus, while the national death toll stands at 20,732.
