A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after alcohol was stolen from a Co-op store in Halesowen.
The Co-op in Bassnage Rd was burgled at 11pm last night (Monday April 27).
The doors were smashed and alcohol taken in the raid.
A 35-year-old man was stopped nearby carrying a quantity of alcohol and was arrested by officers.
He remains in police custody today (Tuesday April 28).
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said:"We were called to reports of a burglary at a Co-op store in Bassnage Road, Halesowen at 11pm yesterday (27 April).
"The doors were smashed and a quantity of alcohol was stolen.
"A 35-year-old man was stopped nearby carrying alcohol and arrested on suspicion of burglary.
"He remains in police custody today (28 April).
"Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk.
