STOURBRIDGE pubgoers will be able to return to their locals this weekend for the first time since March when the coronavirus lockdown began.
Pubs can re-open their doors from tomorrow (Saturday July 4) after the government gave the go-ahead for bars and restaurants to get back up and running - as long as they have social distancing measures in place to help prevnt the spread of COVID-19.
Many pubs have confirmed they are re-opening at the earliest opportunity, from Saturday July 4, while others are taking a little longer to plan how they will manage to keep staff and customers one metre apart.
The Stourbridge and Halesowen branch of CAMRA and Dudley and South Staffordshire CAMRA have helped us to compile lists of pubs set to re-open their doors and the known opening dates.
Steve Pratt, spokesman for the Stourbridge and Halesowen branch of CAMRA, said he hopes to "visit a pub or two this weekend" but he will be sure to make sure he has a table booked or go at a quieter time and he urged all pubgoers venturing back to the bar to ensure they "abide by whatever procedures each pub may have in place for entering, leaving, accessing the bar, being served, accessing toilets etc" and he said: "Please wear a mask, maintain social distancing and stay safe."
