A STOURBRIDGE man who went missing has appeared in court today charged with murdering a pensioner at a Shropshire beauty spot.
Moses Christensen, aged 21, from Oldswinford, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place after police launched a murder investigation into the death of a man found dead on Brown Clee Hill on Friday August 14.
The man has today been named as Richard Hall, aged 70, from Perton in Staffordshire.
His family said in a statement: "Richard was a wonderful man in every single way. A massive loss to the family and everyone that knew him. An inspiration to many, taken away from us far too soon."
Christensen, believed to be a former Elmfield School student, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court by video link today (Tuesday August 18) and the case has been committed to Shrewsbury Crown Court.
Remanded in custody - the defendant, of Corser Street, is now due to appear before the crown court on August 20.
