CHEEKY thieves made off with two cars from a Wordsley driveway after covering a doorbell camera to try to hide the crime in progress.
Video footage of the incident which happened at around half past midnight this morning (Thursday August 27) on the Wordsley Hospital estate has been shared on Facebook with many people commenting in disbelief at the brazen theft.
A grey SEAT Leon Cupra with bronze seat badges (registration number DA19 HKL) and a white Fiat 500 (registration number PN17 SMX) were taken from a driveway in Kirkpatrick Drive near Clocktower View.
It is believed the masked and gloved offenders managed to get the keys to the cars after breaking into the property from the rear while the owners were in bed.
Residents in the area have been asked to check any CCTV footage between midnight and 12.30am.
The stolen Fiat has reportedly since been recovered but the SEAT is still missing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or via Live Chat on the force website, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
