POLICE have arrested two men on suspicion of going equipped for burglary and theft of a motor vehicle after pulling over a cloned car in Kingswinford.

Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station stopped the car in the early hours of Thursday morning (September 17) after the driver attempted to drive at them at high speed, Dudley PC Jamie Follows said.

Both occupants of the car, which was found to have false plates, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary and theft of motor vehicle after suspicious items were found in the car.

The vehicle has since been recovered and both men were taken into custody as investigations continued.
