HOLDEN'S Brewery has confirmed it has temporarily closed two of its pubs due to Covid-19 outbreaks.
The Fellows in Dudley has shut its doors to customers as has The Rose and Crown, Brierley Hill, due to reported cases of coronavirus.
Phil Britton, director at Holden's Brewery, confirmed both pubs have temporarily closed and he said: "Our staff have been advised to self-isolate for a period of time by the NHS and as our managers live in on the premises we see no other alternative but to shut the pubs for the same period of our staff’s self-isolation - not only for our team's welfare but also, of course, our loyal customers.
"We have been exceptionally vigilant with the laws, rules and regulations regarding Covid-19 and we are all very proud of our teams who have worked tirelessly to keep our pubs operational.
"This shows us all how important it is to follow the rules…and to do the NHS Test and Trace."
Both pubs will undergo a deep clean and The Fellows is expected to re-open on Friday November 6, while The Rose and Crown is set to re-open its doors on Tuesday November 10.
A total of 3,440 cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed in the Dudley borough, according to Dudley's Covid-19 dashboard which collates latest coronavirus related figures published by the NHS, ONS and Public Health England.
