A zero waste shop in Stourbridge that had only been open for a matter of weeks when lockdown hit, has been shortlisted in the Family Business Of The Year Awards!

And now owners Caz and Dean Barratt hope their customers and local people will help them to win.

Eco Maniax in the Ryemarket opened in Dec 2019 selling loose foods, refills for cleaning products & plastic free household items.

When the first lockdown came in March they quickly diversified to offer a delivery service as well.

Caz and Dean run the shop along with help from their three sons and have succeeded in their new enterprise, despite the pandemic.

“To be shortlisted for this award after such a difficult first year is a fantastic achievement,” they said.

“ We’ve had such a great response from the local community and hope that they will also back us by voting for us”.

The awards were created by Family Business United to celebrate the UK family business sector.

In addition to the national award there is a regional ‘People’s Choice’ award for the Midlands & Central region which is voted for by the public.

Voting closes at the end of March & the winners are announced in June.
