A PUB in Brierley Hill remains closed after a severe kitchen fire broke out last night (June 21.)
Fire crews from Brierley Hill and Stourbridge battled a blaze at The New Wellington Pub at around 5pm.
It is understood that no one was injured in the fire.
The pub took to Facebook to thank the public for its understanding and to inform customers of their closure for the next few days.
"To any one who has booked we have tried to call as many people as we can but our electric has been turned off & we can't access the bookings/phone at this moment in time .
"Thankyou for your understanding & we hope to be back to business as soon as possible once everything is safe ."
In another statement, a spokesperson said: "Everyone is OK.
"Thankyou for all your kind words.
"We will be shut for the next few days to evaluate the damage & will keep you up to date as soon as we know."
Brettell Lane was closed last night while firefighters put out the blaze.
West Midlands Fire Service tweeted at 6pm: "We currently have 3 Fire Engines in attendance at a fire on Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill. Crews from @WMFSBrierleyH @WMFSStourbridge and the HP from @WMFSOldbury are dealing with a severe fire in the kitchen area of a Public House. Brettell Lane is closed, please avoid the area."

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
