A NEW community litter-pick will be staged in Amblecote next month with an appeal for volunteers to take part.
Wild Earth Movement, which is run by Hannah Picken, is holding a community clean-up in Withymoor/Lakeside along the canal tow paths and green spaces on Sunday July 4 at 10am.
Volunteers of any age are welcome and can meet at Withymoor football field on Turners Lane (opposite Sainsburys petrol station).
Hannah, aged 29, who lives in Stourbridge, said: "I run a fairly new not-for-profit with a social cause called Wild Earth Movement.
"We aim to educate, raise awareness, create educational resources and work with schools and businesses around the world reducing their impact on this planet and creating a less wasteful future.
"I am holding our first community clean up and anyone and everyone is welcome to help us pick up as much litter as possible.
"Everyone who attends will be entered into a prize draw at the end of the pick with prizes for both adults and children.
"Caffe Nero in Stourbridge have also kindly donated some free coffee vouchers so I will be giving these out after the pick too.
"Its going to be a fun, engaging and educational community event.
"I will be handing out cards to help everyone with their litter picking- these cards are plantable and will grow wild flowers too."
Hannah said if the litter pick is a success she will stage more in the future.
