AN award-winning Wollaston hairdresser and his team have been shortlisted for two prestigious awards at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2021.
Tim Scott-Wright @ The Hair Surgery in Wollaston has been shortlisted in the Artistic Team of the Year category at the awards and owner Tim Scott-Wright has been named as a finalist in the Midlands Hairdresser of the Year category.
Now in their 37th year – the awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, celebrate hairdressing excellence, recognising the outstanding creative and technical abilities of stylists from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Tim and the team were selected after submitting four photographic images demonstrating their expertise as well as a detailed questionnaire - and they are now required to submit a further two images for the final round of judging in October.
Tim, who has won the Midlands Hairdresser of the Year award three times previously, said: "We are delighted to be finalists. It’s such an honour to be shortlisted alongside such incredible talent.
"We are confident that our photographic collections showcase our skillset and imagination, and we really hope to bring a trophy home to Stourbridge."
Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards, said: "In reaching the finals, Tim and his team have demonstrated a breadth of experience and skill, with an ability to produce outstanding work that gets them noticed.
"The regional Hairdresser of the Year and Artistic Team of the Year categories are always fiercely competitive, and the team should feel incredibly proud to be acknowledged at this level."
The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on November 29 at Grosvenor House in London’s Park Lane.
