STOURBRIDGE’S traditional Remembrance commemorations will return to Mary Stevens Park this month.
The Stourbridge Royal British Legion will mark Remembrance Sunday with the traditional parade and minute silence at the park to pay their respects to those killed in combat in conflicts around the world.
Veterans, reservists, and military representatives will gather at 10.30am and will march to the cenotaph where a short service, silence and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 11am.
It comes as last year’s official commemoration was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.
Chris Peace from the Stourbridge branch of the Royal British Legion said it was great to be back after last year’s official commemoration was cancelled, which saw people informally pay their respects at home.
The commemoration is open to all and takes place on Remembrance Sunday, November 14.
