BUDDING gardeners are invited to sow and grow their own sunflowers at Webbs Garden Centres at Hagley and Wychbold this February half term.
Children can also enjoy decorating a terracotta pot with acrylic paint pens.
Stencils of bees, butterflies and flowers will be provided, or children can let their imaginations run free and dream up their own designs.
Once they have completed their pot design, youngsters can get their hands in the compost to plant seeds before taking their sunflowers home, to water, feed and watch them grow.
Tips will also be given on how to harvest the seeds to feed the birds once the sunflowers have stopped flowering.
For well-earned, post-activity refreshments - on-site restaurants will be open at the centres.
Sow & Grow runs from Monday February 21 to Friday February 25.
The activity is recommended for children aged three and over and costs £5 per pot.
