AN event to welcome visitors back to Brierley Hill is set to take place this weekend.
The multicultural event will take place at the Moor Centre on Saturday March 19 and will feature cookery demonstrations, live entertainment and broadcasts from Black Country Radio who are organising the day.
The celebration is part of the Welcome Back campaign to encourage people back into town centres and support local businesses as the country and economy recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:
“These events are a positive, practical way for people to show their support for our town centres.
“The final mothers’ day event will be held in Halesowen on 26 March and I hope local people will visit their town centre to take part, have fun and show their support for local businesses.”
The event takes place from 10am to 3pm and is free to attend.
