AN ambitious events company hopes to bring the holiday vibes of Ibiza to Lye with a brand new outdoor nightspot.
Stourbridge based Social Beats is transforming the Conyers yard by Lye Railway Station into the area’s newest venue for street food, music and entertainment with the launch party set for Friday July 22.
The outdoor venue will then open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday thereafter.
The events company has brought in four huge shipping containers to the industrial site on Conyers Trading Estate, Station Drive, where tents and a VIP pergola are being put up to accommodate up to 700 revellers.
Alexander McGarry, who runs Social Beats and its sister offering Social Eats, said: “It’s a brand new concept.
"Our aim is to replicate Nikki Beach and create a fantastic environment where people can listen to the best music - in the best venue - without the hassle of going abroad.”
He said the venture will create around 30 jobs and he added: “We knew our venue was a winner when sponsors Heineken awarded us the UK's largest contract of its kind in just three days.
“Now after months of hard work we are nearing the opening date for our luxurious outdoor 700-capacity venue in Stourbridge.”
