STAFF and students at a Clent special school are hoping others will join in their fundraising Sunshine for Sunfield Week' next month to help raise cash for new classrooms.
Professor Barry Carpenter, chief executive at Sunfield School in Woodman Lane, is encouraging people to wear something yellow during the week to show their support for the school, which is trying to raise £3.5million to build state-of-the-art new classrooms for severely autistic pupils.
Running from June 9 to 13, the week follows the success of last year's Sunglasses for Sunfield day - which raised more than £10,000 for a new minibus.
Prof Carpenter said: "This is a really fun appeal which anyone from large businesses to schools and nursery groups or even individuals can take part in. All we ask is that you wear something yellow during Sunshine Week.
"That could be as crazy as a bright yellow suit or as conservative as a yellow tie - there are even special Sunshine Week T-shirts available from Sunfield.
"If everyone taking part pays just £1 to the school's appeal, and is sponsored by friends and colleagues, we can raise a huge amount of money for this great cause."
