THE RNLI's annual Flag Day organised by the Stourbridge branch of the charity has raised £658.41 to help the lifeboat charity continue to save lives at sea.
Shoppers gave generously to RNLI collectors who were out and about in Stourbridge town centre on Saturday April 19.
Branch chairman Chris Fonteyn said: "This year was one of the coldest Flag Days I can recall.
"However, thanks to the traditional generosity of Stourbridge shoppers, a very worthwhile and welcome sum was collected.
"We are very grateful to all those unpaid volunteers who helped with the collection and especially to those who gave so generously to help raise these vital funds which will further the lifesaving work of the RNLI."
