A 38-YEAR-OLD Brierley Hill man who exposed himself to a 13-year-old schoolgirl has avoided a spell behind bars.
John Pritchard was arrested after the girl spotted him again the following day and noted the registration number of his vehicle before notifying police.
Judge John Warner told Pritchard at Wolverhampton Crown Court: "I am quite satisfied you were loitering in that place for that purpose."
He said he would give him full credit for the fact it was his first appearance before a court and added: "I accept this was an aberration."
Pritchard, of Lychwood Drive, Brierley Hill, had denied one charge of indecent exposure - but he was convicted by a jury at the end of his trial.
Miss Samantha Powis, prosecuting, said Pritchard was a man of previous good character and stressed: "This was an isolated incident."
She said there was no suggestion that Pritchard tried to make any contact with the girl and concluded: "This offence is at the lower end of the scale."
Pritchard was made the subject of a three-year Community Order and also told he must register as a Sex Offender for five years.
