Monsters, sports and bugs are among the things on offer at Dudley borough museums next week.

Dudley council's JAM (juniors at museums) are holding a number of craft activities for youngsters aged between six and 11 during the Whitsun school holidays.

Children can search for monsters at Broadfield House Glass Museum between Tuesday May 27 and Sunday June 1. The trail runs from noon to 4pm and is free of charge.

At Dudley Museum and Art Gallery sports fanatics can design and create their own bat and ball as well as decorating eggs for egg and spoon races. Sessions cost £2.50 and take place on Wednesday May 28 and Thursday May 29 at 11am, noon and 1pm.

The museum is also giving children the chance to match equipment to various sports with a sports search, which runs from 10am to 4pm from Tuesday May 27 to Saturday May 31 and is free of charge.

Bugs life sessions are taking place at the Red House Glass Cone on Wednesday May 28 and Thursday May 29 with youngsters able to make mosquitios, nodding animals and decorate plant pots.

Sessions take place at 10.30am to 12.30pm or 1.30pm to 3pm and cost £3.25.

The museum is also hosting a free daily flower power trail from Saturday May 24 to Sunday June 1.
