THE victim of a horror car smash in Stourbridge has been identified as Norton pensioner Emily Hansford.
Mrs Hansford, aged 79 from Shenstone Avenue, died shortly after a collision with a Fiat car on Wednesday May 14.
The collision took place at around 9am on Bath Road close to the junction between Worcester Street and the town's ring road, it is believed Mrs Hansford was attempting to cross the road at the time of the accident.
Police closed Bath Road to traffic for two-and-a-half hours while officers investigated the scene.
An inquest was opened and adjourned on Friday May 16 by Black Country Coroner Robin Balmain.
