AN Oldswinford pub is planning a Eurovision party with a difference to mark the popular continental song contest.
While the country gears up for the annual sing-off between nations from around Europe, drinkers at The Cross, Glasshouse Hill, will be able to enjoy tipples to match the tunes.
As the contest, on Saturday May 24, is shown live on TV in the pub, landlord Ted Etheridge will be serving free drinks associated with the country whose song is on screen at that moment.
Anyone wishing to fill their boots for Eurovision at The Cross should buy a ticket to the party, costing £12.50, from the pub in advance.
Ted said: "If people can keep up they could get a drink for all 20 songs and if they want to come in fancy dress they are welcome - although a taxi home would be advisable."
