STOURBRIDGE Choral and Orchestral Society is staging a Viennese Concert in Wollaston next month.

The choir will be singing Brahms' love songs, the Liebeslieder Waltzes at the event, which takes place at St James's Church, Wollaston, on Saturday June 7 at 7.30pm.

And the orchestra will be playing music by Strauss - The Blue Danube, the Radetzky March, the Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, Thunder and Lightening Polka, Kaiser (Emperor) Waltz, Von Suppe Light Cavalry Overture, and Lehar, Gold and Silver Waltz.

Tickets are £7 for adults, £2.50 for youngsters over 12 and free for children under 12.

They are available on the door, from Books Unlimited in Lower High Street or by ringing 01384 376468.

The society, the oldest of its kind in the Midlands, is also looking for new players of all ages - especially brass and strings, plus singers for the choir.

Rehearsals are held at the Mere Road Centre, Norton, from 7.30pm on Mondays (orchestra) and Tuesdays (choir).
