Halesowen Friday Night Track League got off to a great start.
The racing started with the U16s riders completing two laps with a very close finish resulting in the talented U14s rider, Emily Kay winning, with U16s rider Jess Wieckowski finishing a very close second.
A big field of senior B Cat riders were up next for an eight- lap scratch race.
The event started at a quick pace, U16s rider Tom Baker from Halesowen A&CC winning with James Cowan of Solihull CC a close second and third place going to vet Nick Selibas from Birmingham CC.
As always at Halesowen, the younger riders in the Freewheelers A and B races fought tooth and nail. With the riders competing in six races, including one lap, two lap and three lap block handicap races, and also 410m dash races. Tomas Hayward from Halesowen dominated the Freewheeler B races with three out of three wins.
Halesowen's Thomas Biddle managed a second place and two third places.
The Freewheeler A races were hard fought affairs with strong performances from Oliver Kay, Angela Eggleton both from Halesowen, and Natalie Clements from Solihull CC.
