DRIVERS in Stourbridge face delays from today (Saturday) as roadworks force partial closure of a major route into the town.
A one-way system will be operating on Hagley Road between Glasshouse Hill and Field Lane for three weeks while engineers install a new gas main.
During the works traffic will only be able to travel from Oldswinford towards Hagley, motorists heading toward Stourbridge will be diverted to an alternative route.
The same section of road will be closed completely on three Sundays (June 22, 29 and July 13) while re-surfacing work is carried out.
Further delays are predicted later in the summer when Hagley Road from Stourbridge ring road to Oldswinford Cross will be closed for utility works and re-surfacing.
