CHILDREN at a Kingswinford school got set to celebrate the Beijing Olympics by hosting their own version of the games.
Pupils at Crestwood Park Primary, Lapwood Avenue, held a packed enrichment day on Friday May 23, to take a closer look at all aspects of the global event.
Youngsters and staff made flags from Olympic nations, held opening and closing ceremonies and participated in a range of sports.
Maggie Stowe, Crestwood Park's deputy headteacher, said: "We thought it was really important to give the children an awareness of what the Olympics are all about so, when they watch them in the summer, they have a much greater understanding."
